I didn’t learn leadership from a textbook. I learned it by leading people.
For more than 30 years, I’ve built, rebuilt, and led teams through growth, change, uncertainty, success, and failure.
Along the way, I learned something simple: people don’t need perfect leaders. They need present ones.
Leading Like a Human grew from those experiences, the conversations that worked, the mistakes that taught me something, and the people who showed me what leadership really looks like.
My career has taken me through technology, cybersecurity, organizational transformation, and global leadership. But regardless of the challenge, the lesson has remained the same: trust comes first.
When I’m not leading teams or writing about leadership, there’s a pretty good chance I’ve got a Stratocaster in my hands.
